As the Westfield Insider, I want to help women learn how to dress for their body shape.
A while ago, I put the call out on the Westfield Facebook to help fans with their body shape dilemmas. Dani (pictured) responded and saying she wanted to flatter her legs more.
To me she already looked amazing, but like Dani, many of us consider our bottom halves (hips, bums and legs included) to be our big problem area, a chocolate brownie’s best friend and our worst nightmare for a cute dress.
The trick is all in the clothing you choose; there’s no reason we can’t flatter what our mamas gave us while being comfortable and staying true to our style – and no shopping TV spanx in sight!
Here are three styles of clothing that get the job done (as Dani wears above) with versions you can buy in store right now.
THE MULLET DRESS
A nice alternative to the maxi, it covers the thighs and finishes at a flattering point, but puts the rest of your legs on show. Look for a waist seam to create shape and the ideal neckline for you.

THE SLIMMING JEANS
The right jeans can lift, suck and flatter in all the right places. The kick at the bottom of these jeans balances out your body while slimming the legs. Look for a mid-high rise denim with a bit of give, and a dark wash.
Just Jeans Levi Curve ID’s Demi Skinny Jean $119.95
THE A-LINE SKIRT
It does everything you need it too: cinches in at the waist to create shape, then flares out, before finishing at the most flattering/slimmest point on your leg.
