Bringing an outfit can be hard to put together as not everything will always match. In order to look your best, you should firstly look at the colors you’re putting together. do they work or don’t they? Next, find the perfect accessories to help you stand out, yet also compliment your beautiful features.
I try to buy sale items at the end of a season and then bring them out the following year so that no one has the same outfit on! Earrings can change the look of an outfit as well as simple accessories such as chains and bracelets and bags! Not to mention the shoes!!!!!
Make the most of your existing wardrobe and accessories and don’t be afraid to try new combinations or make slight alterations to tweek last seasons disaster purchase and make it this seasons stunner.
I always try to look for a sale but if i cant afford to buy accessories i asked to borrow from a friend or family member. My Sister in Law has lots of costume jewelery always ready to be lent out!
I have become a great fan of op-shops, swap-meets and garage sales when it comes to accessories. I tend to buy in-season garments at shops, but ‘bring them together’ with my bargain purchased accessories (including a designer bag – worth almost $200 – that I bought at a swapmeet for $5.
I look at designer fashion, celebs etc. then buy good replicas from fashion stores in Westfield, especially in the sale, like Target, Sussan, Noni-B, Portmans etc.then colour match them with shoes accessories and good underwear.
Less is always more! My 3 personal rules to looking fab on a budget:
1. Dont go for more than 3 colours on an outfit
2. Dont wear what everybody else is wearing because it’s “fashion”, wear what suits your body shape!!!
3. Confidence and comfort are the key and dont forget to smile
wear something that appeals to you not to fashy and not to light,wear shoes that blend in and are comfortable.
a hat could give you a beautiful finnish.
Invest in clothes which can be worn both casual or formal to ensure you get value for money. Then update your look throughout the season with plenty of small purchases such as new shoes, jewelry and hang bags from Westfield!

Know what your budget is & stick to it! Have fun with it & recycle whatever you can from last year & invest in a few staples from this current season that you can dress up or down. Also remember, the right accessory can make (or break) your outfit & it definately doesn’t have to cost a fortune!
Viewing Westfield’s Online information for sales and special offers helps me keep track and ahead of the pack.
Make as much as you can yourself, then with the money you have saved, hot shoes, bag and accessories, from Westfield they always have bargains!!
Borrow either clothing or accessories from reliable family relations or girlfriends and vice-versa … problem solved.
Shoes and accessories. They can make the dullest outfits go the the most head turning in seconds! Accessories can be picked up on the cheap too if you hunt around, so its a win win for all.
Bringing an outfit together is all about visual balance! No one item should stand out more than another. Stand back, take a look, then use accessories to jazz up or tone down areas where needed.
i try to shop around for the best outfit and accessories that would suit me and wont break my budget. If you keep in mind the best ones you like from previous stores you can compare them and get the best one that suit you and your budget.
Black peeptoe heels go with every outfit and choose the right accessories to dress up or down – the right jewellery & bag can make any outfit complete
I have on rule when shopping – no SALE sign, no entry.
Buy only a few garments and just mix and match!
Versatility is number 1;
Wearing ‘only once’ is not much fun;
For multiple buys and maximum savings;
Grab the girls, for their shopping cravings;
’2 for 1′ or ’2nd half price’
Is cost effective,works especially nice;
For statement pieces and killer shoes;
All in all, you cannot lose!
Create your ensemble with existing pieces that you already own, only buying one new item to be the star of your look.
Op shop clothing,
And funky vintage stores,
DIY clothing surgery,
Scissors slashed items make a look thats raw!
Consignment shops are the greatest,
designer gear at give away prices.
Belts, hats, scarves and more,
To add a dash of fashion decor.
High-end accessories to give you a lift,
gives my low-end budget a fabulous facelift.
Don’t be afraid to set your own trends! Things that are style of the moment are normally expensive and will only last one season.
Sale items are a blessing as staple pieces will last a few seasons. Buy trend pieces from chain stores as they are always cheaper and will usually only last one season.
Go through your wardrobe and see exactly what you have before shopping, so you don’t double up with similar items. Purchase clothes that are versatile that can worn across the seasons and splash out on shoes and cheap jewellery to add colour and to keep you on trend.
Be creative, don’t blend into the crowd,
find fabrics that are bold and loud,
no need to shop at boutiques to get your look,
head to discount stores, come out feeling like a crook, mix and match pieces without breaking the bank,
even cheapo options can make your look crank!

Westfield always has something cute,
Dress it up with accessories,
Or wear stand-out heels or little boots!
Smart dressing and buying is for me!
Sales and if not that I will steal (cough… I mean borrow) from my sisters stylish wardrobe.
Keep basics to sale prices…and give them dramatic flare with statement modern accesories! Grandmothers often have the most amazing vintage pieces…ask to borrow then!
Don’t rush, take your time looking at all the shops through the mall.
There ar always dress’, shirts that are on sale so shop around and ask for help as the shop attendents are there to help.
Think outside the square, be inventive and imagine how your accessories will meld together to give you the look you are after!
Keep it simple, accessorise,
Earrings, a bracelet should do,
Look stunning and still be budget-wise,
At Westfield, it’s possible too!
Safety pins!
Be a Secret Agent – Know one knows who, what, when or where unless you tell them!
A gorgeous new outfit! ~An inexpensive creation!
But lack of money for accessories, caused me frustration!
Then I realised what I needed to do!
~I knew someone with the perfect shoe!
My top tip: When on a budget, share with friends!
This way your wardrobe collection, never ends!!
When cruising the Christmas sales, look for buys that won’t tip the scales!
Like bracelets, a fascinator or clutch – accessories add the final touch!
Think smart and shop around for the hottest buy and always check your mail box for catalogues for latest sales when you look for a special piece make sure it lasts for years to come, remember investment.
Mix the old with the new, expensive with affordable and read SHOP MAGAZINE, they give the best prices for fashion pieces that everyone with envy. Shop around and ask people where they get their pieces, the more you see, the easier to shop on a budget.
Recycle last seasons’ clothes! Currently I mix my nautical gear with my newly bought colour blocking clothes. It’s a great way to create a new look at minimal cost! Experimenting with make-up and hair makes all the difference too! Ditch the heavy blunt fringe and go for soft Summer curls!
The key is to mix and match using lots of colour, variety and accessorise.If you browse in your wardrobe and sift through everything you have,you will be truly surprised what you will find.You will be able to instil your own unique trends that will always be in vogue.
I think its best to work from the wardrobe you already have, but adding a new top that suits the event or season and adding accessories, they can always take an outfit to the next level and make it look like its worth alot!
I try to shop around for the best outfit and accessories that would suit me and wont break my budget. If you keep in mind the best ones you like from previous stores you can compare and judge them and get the best one that suits you and your budget, but will still look amazing.
Be inspired by everything around you – fashion magazines, Hollywood celebrity styles, people on the street, or even old-fashioned movies. They will give you a good idea of what trends to look for. Then shop in sale sections! Go for bright colours like electric blue, hot pink, purple, red……etc to show your vibrant personality, as well as unique but timelss cuts. Finish up with cute accessories that can be found in vintage shops.
INSPIRATION – look through latest trends and get ideas of what you’re looking for.
Ask friends for suggestions!
Find SALES and don’t go for crazy expensive shops (:
Think about colors, patterns and how they compliment each-other.
To top your cute outfit accessories and a pretty hairstyle will do it!
Happy shopping! xx
Search through your girlfriend’s closet to find garments and outfits. Mix and match your mate’s pieces and yours. You will be sure to never wear the same outfit again! Your friend’s will get the same benefit too! Nothing beats sharing, as it is caring!
Rummaging through vintage stores is always a must! You are bound to find some chunky bracelets, washed jeans or even a straw hat. Whatever it is, have the basics and work from there. You don’t need to spend a fortune. Rotate your outfits for new looks. If no ones wearing it, give it a go! You might even set a trend.
- Go Myer over cheaper shops after sale season for 75% off racks that don’t compromise quality.
- eBay holds your next treasured piece, in great nick too!
- If trends are a must, go ASOS for FREE shipping from UK with alternate seasons (summer gear is on clearance now!).
Always have the basics, like cardigans, tank tops and washed denim shorts. There’s nothing like a simple outfit, that’s taken to the next level with a bright bag and shoes! Wrap up an outfit with a pair of bohemian feather earrings and pop colour bracelets for summer.
Have a set budget and buy clothes that can be worn more than once, but changed for each outfit. That is the key. The rest is up to you. Whether it’s adding a pop colour satchel bag or some brown leather ankle boots, make the outfit yours!
1. Arrange closet into colour sections not clothes type. 2. Be a daring! Mix colours and fabrics. 3. Accessories Make an Outfit, Jewellery, belts & shoes. 4. Look in the Mirror!
5. Add Self Confidence as the finished touch, good posture and a positive attitude will make you noticed!
I love making the most out of my items. One item of clothing can easily be transformed pronto. Dresses are versatile, tuck it in for a shirt, fold the top down for a breezy skirt or wear whole for an actual dress! Three for the price of one! Trawl the nooks and crannies at sale time for versatile items, and don’t be afraid to fight for that dress.
